Grace and myself spent the
full day brainstorming some more ideas to take to Rianna for our first meeting
since the Easter break. We bought some foils & some iridescent film to
photograph alongside some coloured Perspex, we only used sample sizes to
suggest our idea to keep the project cost efficient. We experimented with two
different backgrounds, a concrete background to use as a minimalistic backdrop,
and a white one with a busier background. Rianna loved the 'Laser Silver' foil
we had purchased and stole little samples for herself. She wants us to play
around with the Perspex more by using it as a filter on photographs or to
create blurs and extra dimensions to the images.
We discussed setting up a
test shoot, which we need to do immediately. However we could not get into the
studio as it was fully booked, in forthcoming projects we now know that
pre-booking is essential. With this in mind myself and Grace further researched
into the aesthetic we wanted to create throughout the photo shoot, this led us
to investigate styling/ make up/ accessories and the hair style of how we would
want the model to be wearing and have also contacted a modeling agency in
regards to recruiting a model for the day. We have booked room in the
Photography studio but also want to take the shoot to other locations around
university to add diversity to the test shoot.
The test shoot will
demonstrate not only imagery with the model & the bag, but also the bags
alone and 'product shots' using make up and other products coming out of the
accessories, to create a 'life style' feel to the imagery.
