The talk hosted by Lisa
Stannard was quite interesting; it was nice to have a talk from a printer. I
also found the talk particularly interesting as Lisa does a lot of her own
trend prediction, she spoke to us about her life as a freelancer, and also gave
us some resources to look towards for research. Something she said which
particularly stuck was "if you could download fashion, you would" in
relation to how fast technology is moving, and how consumers no longer want to
interact with the garment. This is something that the group and I could look at;
as I feel that our research is lacking the use of technology which I personally
feel is dominating the trend world at the moment. Here are some of the things
she told us to constantly keep up to date with: Street Style, Art, Literature,
Exhibitions, Retail, Food, Health & Lifestyle, Culture, Human Behavior.
