UV Reaction

HUAJIA STUDIO AW 2014

After a tutorial with Laura, the group and I wanted to explore the possibilities of the word 'reaction' as this is something that has arisen throughout a number of our sessions. We spoke about how different materials could react with one another and cause a reaction. Here Huajia Studio have used UV light to trigger colour within their collection. In natural light these pieces look simple, however once seen in UV light they produce a reaction and seemingly glowing. We have bought some glow sticks to use on fabric to try and explore this concept ourselves.

GAP X VISIONAIRE

Gap have teamed up with Visionaire and a number of artists to design wearable T-shirts that react to sunlight. This new technology is very advanced and could become a possible trend within the future.
